“An experience of a lifetime” - NCAA medalist Trinity Thomas pens a heartfelt note for Simone Biles and Gold Over America Tour after its conclusion

The Simone Biles' led Gold Over America Tour has come to a close, and many of the participating gymnasts have taken the opportunity to express their gratitude over the experience. Most recently, former NCAA champion Trinity Thomas penned a heartfelt note to show her gratitude for Biles as well as the GOAT Tour.

Thomas first rose to fame in the gymnastics world in 2017, when she placed fourth in the all-around and third on the balance beam and floor at the US Gymnastics Championships. As a result, she qualified for the US National as a 16-year-old.

In 2018, Thomas won gold at the Pan American Championships and started to pursue collegiate gymnastics a year later. Competing for the Florida Gators, she was the 2022 NCAA champion in the all-around, uneven bars, and floor exercise. She also claimed silver on the uneven bars in 2023 and helped the Gators to a runner-up position at the championships in 2022 and 2023.

Now, fresh off the ‘Gold Over America Tour,’ the 23-year-old penned a note of thanks for Biles, writing on Instagram,

“An experience of a lifetime. Thank you Simone Biles and (the) Gold Over America Tour for giving me another opportunity to do the sport that I love and share that love with the world. I'm so grateful that I got to inspire others and connect with fans across the country. This was an unforgettable experience with a group of some of the most amazing people I've ever met! Tour, you were good to me.”

Simone Biles responded in the comments section with four red hearts.

For Simone Biles, the 2024 Gold Over America Tour marked the second iteration of the event. The first ever GOAT Tour took place in 2021 after the Tokyo Olympics and was a massive hit with fans, drawing in over $19 million in revenue.

Speaking about what this tour means to her, Biles outlined that it was an opportunity to connect with more people and inspire future gymnasts.

“This tour is not only about amazing performances, but connecting with communities and building up the confidence of the next generation of athletes. We… can’t wait to take a victory lap around the U.S. and celebrate with all the fans this fall,’ she was quotes as saying by Olympics.com.

For Simone Biles, the end of the Gold Over America Tour marks the end of a busy 2024. So far this year, the American has gone unbeaten in the all-around at the domestic circuit before winning three golds and a silver at the Paris Olympics to solidify her status as the most decorated gymnast of all-time.
