Simone Biles on preparing for the Paris Olympics with a different approach after Tokyo withdrawal
Simone Biles will be making her comeback at the Paris Olympics after a difficult time for her in the previous edition of the quadrennial Games. The American gymnast withdrew from the Tokyo Olympics citing mental health concerns.
She spoke to Olympics.com and revealed that she has opted for a different approach while preparing for the Paris Olympics:
"I think I have to take care of myself a little bit more and listen to my body and making sure that I'm making time for the important things in my life rather than before," she said.
"It was just like, go, go, go, and, then, making time after. This time around, it's like being intentional, going to therapy, making sure everything is aligned so that I can do the best in the gym and be, like, a good wife, a good daughter, a good friend, all the good things," she added.
After concluding her Tokyo Olympics campaign with a silver medal in the team event and a bronze medal in the balance beam, Biles will be aiming to get back to her gold medal-winning spree like the 2016 Rio Olympics
