"Brought back some super emotional moments" - Michael Phelps' wife, Nicole pens a heartfelt message as she watches swimming at the Paris Olympics

Michael Phelps' wife Nicole Johnson recently shared a heartwarming message while attending the swimming events at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Even years after retiring from the sport, Phelps maintains his connection with the sport, including attending the ongoing Summer Games.

Phelps, alongside his wife and baby boy Nico, is attending the 2024 Summer Games. The couple welcomed Nico in January this year. Nicole Johnson was seen embracing the electrifying vibes at the Paris La Defense Arena in France. While attending the first day of the swimming event with Nico, she reflected on the 2016 Rio Olympics, when she was present at the Olympic Aquatic Stadium to cheer for her husband along with their oldest son, Boomer.

Phelps and Johnson exchanged their wedding vows in 2016 before the legendary swimmer headed to Brazil. The former American swimmer, who was accompanied by his wife and oldest son went on to secure five gold and one silver medal. Johnson looked back at the family memories from the 2016 Olympics and drew parallels to the current moment. She wrote on her Instagram:

"First night at the pool brought back some super emotional moments for me 🥹 So grateful to be here in Paris watching all the amazing Olympians chasing their dreams ❤️🤍💙"

Michael Phelps is the most decorated Olympian of all time with 23 gold, three silver, and two bronze Olympic medals under his belt. He bid adieu to the sport after competing in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

However, the legendary swimmer graced the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as a contributor for NBC. At the Paris Olympics, he is again seen stepping into the role as a broadcast contributor and also made an appearance during the opening ceremony for the 2024 Games.

In an interview with NBC News, The 39-year-old expressed his excitement about being present at the greatest sporting event.

"I think last night during the opening ceremony, just being a part of the opening ceremony for me, I had hair sticking straight off my arms," Phelps said. "Like I had just the emotions and feelings of being back at the Olympic Games," he added [at 0:07].
