At the quadrennial games, Davis-Woodhall claimed her first-ever Olympic medal by winning the gold in the women’s long jump. However, what also captured people’s attention was her husband, Hunter, constantly cheering for her. After Tara’s victory, she ran to the stands and jumped into Hunter’s arms, as the couple shared an emotional moment. These moments quickly went viral, thus leading to an increase in their popularity.
With Halloween celebrated on October 31 each year, people not only wear spooky outfits but also dress up as characters or figures who they find inspirational. Davis-Woodhall witnessed people dressing up as her and her husband, Hunter, which made the track and field star emotional.
She took to Instagram threads to share this with her fans and followers, writing:
“Seeing all of yall dressed up as Hunter and I has brought literal tears to my eyes. I can’t believe the impact we’ve made on this world.”
Like Davis-Woodhall, Hunter is also a successful track star. He bagged his first-ever gold medal at the Paralympic Games in Paris in the men's 400m T62, having previously won a silver in the 200m T44 and bronze in the 400m T44 in Rio 2016, and bronze in the 400m T62 in Tokyo 2020.
Hunter concluded his campaign at the Paris Paralympics by winning another bronze in the 4x100m universal relay final, where he contributed to the US team’s third-place finish by running the second leg.
