Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone was magnificent at the Paris Olympic Games where she broke her world record for the sixth time and won the 400m hurdles Olympic gold medal. Following the majestic run, she has earned praise from her husband Andre Levrone.

Competing at the Stade de France, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone won the first round in a striking 53.60 seconds before extending the hot streak to the semifinal where she won in a time of 52.13s. McLaughlin-Levrone’s exploits in the French capital have undoubtedly made her one of the best 400m hurdles runners in the world.

Andre Levrone, who was in the stands watching McLaughlin-Levrone weave magic in Paris, has penned a heartfelt note in awe of her exploits. The former world champion was down with injuries last season and could not defend her title at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary but bounced back to defend her Olympic title.

Calling Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone the epitome of class, grace, faith, beauty and intelligence among other virtues, Andre said:

"Class. Grace. Faith. Beauty. Humor. Strength. Intelligence. Compassion. Tenacity. Diligence. Discipline. Style. Whit. Athleticism….. you truly do possess it all my love."
"It has given me great joy to walk & work alongside you each day this season. What an excellent woman, wife, & champion you are!!! I love you eternally ❤️. 'An excellent wife is the crown of her husband.' -Proverbs 12:4," he added.

Andre Levrone claimed that there was a stream of emotions in his mind as he watched Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone break the world record.

As quoted by the Christian Post, Levrone was in awe of McLaughlin-Levrone’s performance, stating that she deserves the awards owing to the hard work she puts into her training.

"I'm incredibly proud of her. I can't even put it into words. There was just sheer emotion coming through me last night at the race. But, the work ethic that she mentioned; she worked incredibly hard," Andre Levrone said.
"We're always there encouraging her practice. … But, yesterday, before the race, just seeing the confidence and the trust and the faith that she had in God, in her work ethic and the plan that her coach had put into place for her, … I can't describe it in words. It's beautiful," he added.

In the women's 400m hurdles final, McLaughlin-Levrone clocked 50.37s to cross the finish line. Anna Cockrell and Femke Bol finished second and third in respective times of 51.87s and 52.15s.
