Ethiopia's Athletics Team for Paris Olympics 2024 ft. Kenenisa Bekela, Tigst Assefa

Ethiopia has announced its athletics team for the Paris Olympics 2024. They will compete in six events in the men's category and five events in the women's category.

In the men's category, they'll compete in 1500m race, 5000m race, 10,000m, 3000m steeplechase, marathon, and 20km Race Walk. Meanwhile, the women's category events include 1500m race, 5000m race, 10,000m, 3000m steeplechase, and marathon.

Abdisa Fayisa, Samuel Tefera, and Ermias Girma will compete in the men's 1500m event. Hagos Gebrhiwet, Yomif Kejelcha, and Addisu Yihune will represent the nation in the men's 5000m race.

In the men's 10,000m event, Yomif Kejelcha, Berihu Aregawi, and Selemon Barega are the three players chosen to represent Ethiopia. Lamecha Girma, Samuel Firewu, and Getnet Wale will ply their trade in the men's 3000m steeplechase event.

Sisay Lemma, Deresa Geleta, and Kenenisa Bekele will compete in the men's marathon, while Tigst Assefa, Amane Beriso, and Megertu Alemu will be in action in the women's marathon.

Tsige Duguma, Habitam Alemu, and Werknesh Mesele will compete in women's 800m. Gudaf Tsegay, Birke Haylom, and Diribe Wolteji will represent the nation in the women's 1500m event.

The women's 5000m event will see three players from Ethiopia — Gudaf Tsegay, Medina Eisa, and Ejgayehu Taye. In the women's steeplechase event, Sembo Almayew and Lomi Muleta will take the field for the African country.

Misgana Wakuma will ply his trade in the men's 20km Race Walk for Ethiopia at the Paris Olympics 2024.
