Usain Bolt wished his girlfriend Kasi Bennett on her birthday on Sunday, July 7, sharing a carousel of pictures of her sleeping. The couple has yet to tie the knot but share a committed relationship, sharing three kids - daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt and twin sons Thunder Bolt and Saint Leo Bolt.
Usain Bolt, the fastest man in history, holds world records in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay. With 11 world champion titles and eight record-breaking Olympic victories to his name, Bolt attained the nickname 'Lightning Bolt' and is considered the greatest sprinter of all time.
He retired in 2017 but his massive contribution in sports continues to resonate in the track and field world. Besides his sprinting achievements, Bolt enjoys a happy personal life as well. He has been dating Jamaican model Kasi Bennett since 2013 and publicized their relationship during the 2016 Rio Olympics, Bolt's monumental career moment.
Kasi Bennett celebrated her birthday on July 7 and received a heartfelt wish from her boyfriend, Usain Bolt. The latter took to his Instagram to post a series of photos, featuring Bennett sleeping in different spots at home. Bolt penned a note, reading:
"Happy birthday to my sleeping beauty hope you have a wonderful day."
His caption further appreciated Bennett for being a wonderful mother to their kids and filling his life with 'happiness and joy'.
"Thank for being an awesome mother to the crazy,fun and energetic kids. You have fill my life with nothing but happiness and joy. Happy birthday again miss @kasi.b . I LOVE YOU," he added.
In an interview with People in 2016, Bolt revealed that he followed in his parents, Wellesley and Jennifer Bolt's footsteps regarding marriage. His parents lived with each other for a decade before they tied the knot and that inspired Bolt to do the same.
Usain Bolt on fatherhood - "It's been just about living it and experiencing it day by day"
Bolt and Bennett welcomed their firstborn, Olympia Lightning Bolt, in May 2020. Having engaged in sports for most of his life, fatherhood was a fresh feeling for Bolt. He stated that fatherhood had given him a sense of accomplishment and that he was trying to navigate through it day by day.
"It gives you a sense of accomplishment, so I'm really happy and just excited to go on this journey. Fatherhood has been good. It's been just about living it and experiencing it day by day," he said. (via Wide World of Sports interview)
