How fast is Tyreek Hill over the 100m dash? Exploring NFL wide receiver's sprinting stats
NFL player Tyreek Hill had a personal-best registered run time of 9.98 seconds in the men's 100m event (wind-assisted) during his junior college days. Hill also clocked a run time of 10.19 (legal) seconds in 2012 during the Golden South Classic in Florida.
Following his shift from track and field to football, Hill remained one of the most agile and fastest players on the roster. His fastest sprint recorded in a National Football League (NFL) game was 22.01 miles per hour, which he registered during the 2023 season while playing for the Miami Dolphins.
Besides the 100-meter dash, Hill was also quite fast in the 200-meter events during his high school days and also had a personal best run time of 20.14 seconds, which he registered during the 2012 Golden South Classic.
This discussion comes after Hill remarked that he could defeat the reigning men's 100-meter Olympic champion, Noah Lyles, in a race. However, going by the statistics, Hill still hasn't produced the numbers that can verify the bold remarks that he made.
Lyles' personal best in the 100m event is 9.79 seconds, which he registered in the 100m event finals at the Stade de France at the 2024 Paris Olympics, while Hill's personal best in his track career is 9.98 seconds. Even in the 200-meter event, Hill's personal best of 20.14 seconds cannot compete with Lyles' 19.31 seconds.
