How much did Noah Lyles earn during his 2024 season? All about his pursuits from 60m personal best to 100m Olympic gold medal

American track sensation Noah Lyles lived up to fans’ expectations with a stellar 2024 season, both indoors and outdoors. Although he concluded his 2024 season campaign right after the Paris Olympics, he made a statement with his consistent performances right from the beginning of the season.

Lyles’ brilliant season not only witnessed him obtain top finishes in global competitions but also fetched him handsome prize money. He earned prize money by participating in several major events, including the World Athletics Indoor Tour, Global Indoor Championships, Continental Tour meetings, and the Paris Olympics.

The six-time world champion kicked off his 2024 season by appearing at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in the men’s 60m event. He won the finals in a time of 6.44s, bagging a $3,000 cash prize as part of the winner’s reward at a World Athletics Indoor Tour meeting.

At the USA Indoor Championships, Lyles was awarded $6,000 for his top finish in the men’s 60m finals as he secured his berth for the World Athletics Indoor Championships. At the Indoor Championships in Glasgow, he achieved two silver-medal finishes in the men’s 60m and 4x400m relay events. With this, the 27-year-old collected $20,000 for his individual race and $5,000 in the team event since $20,000 was the cumulative amount given to the team for the relay event.

He then contributed to the United States gold medal win in the 100m at the 2024 World Athletics Relays in the Bahamas and helped in securing the quota for the nation. There, Lyles pocketed $10,000, with an overall $40,000 being awarded to the top-placed team.

At the New York City Grand Prix, a Continental Tour Gold event, Lyles earned $5,000 with his victory in the 200m, while he collected $1,600 and $1,200 each for first and second-place finishes in the 100m at the Bermuda Grand Prix and Racers Grand Prix, the Continental Silver Tour meetings.

In the 2024 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials, Noah Lyles earned $11,000 each in both 100m and 200m for finishing first in both events. Before the Paris Olympics, Lyles featured in the London Diamond League in the 100m where he won a cash prize of $10,000 for his victory in the meeting.

Finally, at the Paris Olympics, he received $50,000 for being the Olympic gold medalist in the 100m as announced by the World Athletics earlier in April. This brings Lyles' total prize money to approximately $133,800, not including cash prizes from meets not publicly disclosed.

Noah Lyles accomplished his first-ever gold medal at the Olympic Games through his sensational performance in Paris in the men’s 100m. In a nail-biting contest, both athletes clocked 9.79 with Lyles (.784) prevailing against Jamaica’s Kishane Thomspon (.789) in a photo finish.

However, Lyles couldn’t replicate a similar incredible feat in his signature 200m event after testing positive for COVID-19. He had to settle for the bronze, behind Letsile Tebogo (19.46s) and Kenny Bednarek (19.62s). Following this, he didn’t feature in the 4x100m relay event.
