The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics is all set to take place on July 26. The event will revolve around the entire French capital with the traditional parade ceremonies taking place beside the river Seine.
The event will be a unique blend of traditional practices, such as parades and the Olympic torch rituals along with various dance ceremonies choreographed by the director of the Orleans National Choreographic Centre, Maud Le Pladec. More than 3000 dancers are expected to take part in the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
The ceremony will also feature numerous celebrated hosts for US fans such as former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning, American singer Kelly Clarkson, and sports commentator Mike Tirico. All three hosts of the ceremony were recently invited to the Jimmy Fallon show, during which they gave a brief hint of what's about to come on Friday. Tirico stated during the show:
"The Opening Ceremony is going to be so different and unique, down the Seine—down the river with the athletes on a boat."
All the participants of the 2024 Olympics will be donning the official costumes specially designed for this particular event. The United States team will wear Ralph Lauren-designed blue blazers with shades of red and white, with denim to go with it.

The event will also be live-streamed on various other OTT platforms for US fans such as Peacock, NBCOlympics.com, and other NBC applications like CNBC. Telemundo will also cover the opening ceremony of the event in Spanish language.
Both NBC and Peacock are expected to start their coverage around 12:30 PM ET, with the main ceremony starting from 1:30 PM ET on Friday, while the primetime event will start at around 7:30 PM ET.
