"I hate October but this month has changed so much"- Noah Lyles' fiancée Junelle Bromfield reflects on changes in her life after engagement

Junelle Bromfield, the fiancée of reigning Olympic and World champion Noah Lyles, opened up about the changes she has experienced in her life in recent months, and especially in October. Addressing her followers, Bromfield encouraged them to be patient and to have faith in God if they are facing challenges.

Bromfield, who has been in a relationship with the American sprinter for the last two years, irked some Jamaican track and field fans after Lyles revealed in a July interview with Colin Waitzman that he had been receiving exclusive information — information that is off-limit to others — through Bromfield. As a result, both Bromfield and Lyles faced backlash from some fans.

Nonetheless, things have turned around for her lately, as she made it to the semifinals at the Paris Games and then took a major step in her personal life by getting engaged to Lyles in October. Sharing her positive outlook with her fans, she said:

"You know, I hate October, and I feel this month has changed so much because the month is usually my worst month has become one of my most... what would you call it? It's like a harvest season with a lot of good things happening." (via Junelle Bromfield's Instagram handle) [2:00 onwards]

"I just try to thank God and be grateful, so if anybody out there is going through a rough patch in your life, don't give up because you never know what God has in store for you, and just be patient," she added.

In the wake of the online criticism she received, the 26-year-old Jamaican athlete said during a conversation on Sim Soul Sessions that she was uncertain about her track career and was even unsure about participating in this year's Jamaican trials for the Paris Olympics. However, it was Noah Lyles who convinced her to appear for the trials and then the Olympics, reminding her that she had nothing to lose.

"Before the national trials, I was telling Noah Lyles that I'm not sure I want to do track anymore. I was like, 'I'm not sure this is a path for me,' and I'm a business-minded person, so I'm here just coming up with a bunch of ideas. I'm like. 'I'm heading out; I'm going to do this. I'm not even going to the national trials,' and I was praying on it," she said via Sim Soul Sessions YouTube channel. [26:10 onwards]

"That time too, Noah was like there was nothing to lose by going to the national trials. You trained all year for this, and it's just a trial; it's best you go and say I've done it, and this was my best instead of wondering what else I could have done, and I went to the trials, and nobody expected me to make it even to the finals, and I got there and ran my personal best."

Following their engagement, Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield are embracing their time together, having recently visited Universal Studios Florida.
