In Pictures: Aly Raisman shares major highlights from 2024 as she awaits the commencement of collegiate gymnastics in 2025

Former American gymnast Aly Raisman recently shared the major highlights of her 2024 as the year comes to a close. This comes just a few days after her Costa Rica trip.

The 30-year-old has been keeping herself busy with several external endeavors since retiring from elite gymnastics. She has tried her hands at writing books and has published a couple of them so far, including her autobiography titled "Fierce".

Additionally, she has also been working as a commentator in collegiate gymnastics tournaments and showcasing her expertise. Raisman took to her Instagram handle to share several highlights of these activities this year. These featured spending time with fellow gymnasts such as Laurie Hernandez, Norah Flatley, and Alabama collegiate gymnast Jamison Sears.

Additionally, her posts also included media from her commentary stints in meets and her 2024 book, "From my Head to my Toes". In her caption, she also shared her excitement for the start of the new season of collegiate gymnastics in 2025. Raisman wrote in her caption:

"2024 ✨ Wishing you all the happiest holidays 🤍Don’t forget to take some time for yourself 💋 Also college gymnastics starts soooo soon. Can’t wait."

Aly Raisman shed light on the fame and popularity she has achieved through her gymnastics career.

In an interview, Raisman stated that her gymnastics career and the fame associated with it had exceeded her expectations and aspirations. She mentioned her journey from a regular high school student to one of the most popular faces of the gymnastics circuit. She said (via the BBC in July 2024):

"It surpassed my expectations – how many people supported us and watched [the Games] and knew us. I don't feel like I'll ever get used to [fame]; I'm still navigating it. I went from being in high school… to getting recognised when I go get coffee. I forget people sometimes know who I am! I never imagined that I would have achieved this."

During the interview, Raisman also picked one of the proudest moments of her gymnastics career. She remarked that winning a bronze medal in the beam balance apparatus in the 2012 Olympics was one of the most special moments for her as she wasn't assigned to perform in the apparatus during this event.
