She was suspended for a month and forced to miss the Games, which she had qualified for at the Olympic trials.
She went for this year’s U.S. Olympic trials, Richardson had one goal, to dig deep for a win and compete on a stage where she had to wait four more years to compete.
She oozed class, winning the heats and preliminaries of the women’s 100m, clocking 10.88 and 10.86, respectively. She clocked a stunning world-leading time of 10.71 in the final to seal her ticket to Paris.
"If you look good, you do good" - Sha'Carri Richardson speaks on her iconic sense of fashion
Sha'Carri Richardson spoke about her unique fashion in an interview with Nylon, an assorted luxury cosmetic brand.
Richardson explained that growing up, she was always taught to look good, and that culture has stuck with her. She added that to achieve great things; you need to do what makes what makes your soul shine.
"If you look good, you feel good, you do good — I feel that way on and off the track. I’ve always been taught that anytime you leave your house, you should look your best," Richardson said.
"I feel that way when I compete, even though it’s on a larger scale. In life, you walk out your house and you want to manifest great things for yourself or attract just positive energy. In order to do that, you start with what makes your energy good," she added.
At the Paris Olympic Games, Richardson will be joined by Melissa Jefferson and Twanisha Terry chasing for stardom. Now that she has unveiled her unique nails, fans are waiting for her wig collection.
