Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall recently gave a sneak peek into their trip to New York City. The couple is currently in their off-season after concluding their year with a victorious Paris Olympics campaign.
Both Tara and Hunter clinched their first Olympic gold of their careers this year during the 2024 Summer Olympics. Davis-Woodhall competed in the long jump event, where she stood atop the podium after taking a leap of 7.1m in her fourth attempt. She trounced the defending champion, Malaika Mihambo, who claimed a second-place finish.
On the other hand, her husband Hunter Woodhall also won a gold medal in the 400m T62 final event, where he clocked 46.36s to clinch his fifth Paralympic medal and first gold medal. After concluding their seasons in August and September, Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall have been enjoying their off season.
The couple started their off-season bycelebrating their gold medal wins and shifting to a new house in Kansas. Most recently, they were seen spending time in New York City.
The long jump athlete shared a carousel of pictures on her Instagram handle that showcased the couple enjoying a helicopter ride, exploring the streets of the city, and striking adorable poses in front of the camera. They also shared a video of the scenic beauty they experienced during their helicopter ride. The post's caption read:

Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall recently shifted to Kansas as their coach Travis Geopfert moved to Kansas to take a new role as the coach of track and field & cross country at Kansas State University. Along with this, the long jump athlete also took up the role of an assistant coach at the same university.
Following this move, Woodhall penned a note on his Instagram account, giving an update about their new life. He revealed that they are currently having a hard time with the change and also extended his gratitude toward his family for their support in these difficult times.
"Life update: it’s not easy. Been having a tough time recently. With the move, crazy schedules, and life’s pace it’s hard to find a new normal. It’s hard to get back in the swing of things, but we’re getting there,"Woodhall wrote.
He added:
"Apart from all this there has been a silver lining. We have the most incredible friends and family in our life that have been getting us through. Life is hard, and it’s okay to not always feel your best. Things will get better, I just gotta keep reminding myself of that."
Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall started dating each other in 2017 and got married in October 2022 at D'Vine Grace Vineyard in McKinney, Texas.
