Thomas claimed three gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including the 200m, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay events. She earned her career's first Olympic gold at the Paris Games in the 200m after posting a whopping time of 21.83 seconds.
She achieved this feat by defeating the 100m champion Julien Alfred and her fellow teammate Brittany Brown, who recorded 22.08 seconds and 22.20 seconds, respectively. Since winning the glorious feat, Thomas' days have been packed with numerous activities, reflecting the busy life of a triple Olympic gold medalist.
The American sprinter recently shared a video on social media, giving a glimpse of her life post-Olympics. Gabby Thomas credited her successful track record to her academics. She pursued her graduation degree in neurobiology and global health from Harvard University.
Further, the Olympic champion, who volunteers in healthcare, pursued her master's degree in epidemiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. In an interview with CNN, Thomas stated that her knowledge of neurobiology played a defining role in her success in her athletics journey.
"I have a really strong foundation on that and that was one of the reasons why I wanted to pursue neurobiology as my major and having that deep understanding of it I think has really helped me in my track career as well because I understand what it takes to get this level."
"I understand the mindset, I understand all those little things that make a big difference and the mindset is a difference stream," she added.
Thomas ran incredible third legs in the 4x100m and 4x400m relay events with 10.25 and 49.30 seconds, respectively, at the Paris Games.
