Michael Phelps opens up about his growing passion for golf
Michael Phelps has developed a deep love for golf and enjoys watching the world's top golfers and learning from their techniques. In an interview with TJ Sports USA in 2022, Phelps revealed his passion for the sport, revealing that he plays over 100 rounds a year.
"I play 100-plus rounds a year. As you hear up here, I became addicted, got the bug you keep getting a little better and better, and you just want to get better and better," Phelps said.
The American also remarked how golf offered him the opportunity to compete with anyone, including his wife, which added an element of fun to the experience.
"You just want to keep going as low as you possibly can, you can compete with absolutely anybody. I actually compete with my wife. I talk a lot of trash with my wife on the course, and it's awesome, but she did beat me last time, so she can hold that over my head," he added.
The Olympic swimmer also competed in the 2024 TNT's The Match: Superstars last month and appeared on TNT to predict the outcome of the Emirates NBA Cup.
