Mondo Duplantis' fiancée Desire Inglander drops one-word response for their Paris Olympics-inspired Halloween outfits
Reigning Olympic champion Mondo Duplantis' fiancée Desiré Inglander had an adorable reaction to a couple who recreated their Paris Olympics look for Halloween. Duplantis and Inglander went viral during the Games after he ran towards her to celebrate after winning the gold medal.
This August, the Swedish pole vault phenom delivered an incredible performance at the Paris Olympics, where he successfully defended his Tokyo Olympics gold while setting a new world record. To begin with, Duplantis won the gold medal with a clearance of 6.00 m and then requested the bar be raised further to attempt the world record. He succeeded with a leap of 6.25 m and broke the world record for the ninth time, surpassing his mark of 6.24 m set at the Xiamen Diamond League in April.
After his historic feat, the 24-year-old ran toward Inglander, who was present in the Stade de France bleachers, and the couple celebrated the victory with a kiss. Their touching exchange was captured and shared on the internet, which went viral and inspired other couples.
In fact, a couple recently recreated their look for Halloween in which the girl was donning a yellow jersey that read "SWEDEN" while holding a placard displaying Duplantis' 6.25m world record. In contrast, the boy sported a yellow tank top with "SWEDE" on it, paired with blue athletic shorts and white socks, and held a pole to mimic Duplantis' appearance at the Paris Olympics.
The couple shared their recreation on Instagram, tagging Mondo Duplantis and Inglander, who then reposted the picture with the caption:

"Forever is not enough" - Desiré Inglander's special note to Mondo Duplantis after their engagement
Mondo Duplantis surprised Desiré Inglander with a proposal last month. The Swede invited Vogue Scandivania for a photo shoot with his model/influencer girlfriend and popped the question during the session. After the engagement, Inglander shared a heartfelt message for Duplantis and wrote:
"I can't describe the last few days. Forever is not enough @mondo_duplantis."
On the other hand, the Olympian said he had started to plan the proposal after he was done and dusted with his Paris Olympics campaign.
"On the way home actually—on the flight. The second after the Olympics was done, I was ready to do it," he said. (via Vogue)
Following their engagement, the couple recently turned heads in H&M's Guest Designer Archive commercial.
