"My memory is not good" - Noah Lyles' fiancée Junelle Bromfield apologizes to the sprinter for forgetting to wear the engagement ring

America's 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles shared a lighthearted moment with his fiancée Junelle Bromfield after she forgot to wear her engagement ring. The couple recently got engaged in a dreamy proposal.

Lyles and Bromfield initially connected through social media in 2017 and formed a friendship. After their first meeting, they decided to remain friends rather than pursue a romantic relationship. However, in 2022, Lyles took a chance and asked Bromfield out on a date. Since then, the couple has become one of the most popular couples in track and field. They officially confirmed their relationship through an Instagram post in December 2022.

The couple also trained together for this year's Paris Olympics, where Lyles won the first Olympic gold of his career after winning the 100m finals in a photo finish against Jamaica's Kishane Thompson. He also won the bronze in the 200m event. In contrast, Bromfield represented Jamaica in the 400m event, where she made it to the semi-finals. Following their Olympics exploits, Lyles popped the question on Saturday, October 12, and Bromfield said "yes." They later shared a video of their enchanting engagement on social media.

In a recent Instagram post on their joint account, "noah_junelle," Lyles and Bromfield shared a lighthearted video in which Lyles filmed Bromfield entering the car while showcasing her ring. However, the video revealed that she initially forgot to wear it before putting it on later. Reacting to this, the she said:

"I'm not proud of it; I'm not proud of it. My memory is not good, but with time I'll remember; with time I won't leave my ring no more, Pinky Promise. I won't leave my ring alone, but I promise I try not to leave it."

When asked if she had an advice for her future self, she added:

"Remember to take up your ring in the morning from the bedside, yeah, because your fiancé don't like it; your future husband won't like it, so yeah. But I like my ring."

He emphasized how proud he was of her strength and courage.

"I'm just here to probably vocalize some of the ways that I feel that you've shown your resilience and shown your strength and it's hard at times I know, but you know, you're a game changer you might not want to be, that's what you are," Lyles said
"Now everything that God has put in your life, has been one step forward to moving, to inspiring the next generation, and I know it's uncomfortable, but he prepared you for this moment, and I've seen the way that you fought through," he added

Following Lyles' revelation that he receives exclusive information from the Jamaican camp through Bromfield, the couple faced scrutiny from fans.
