NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament 2024: Semifinal bracket, schedule, where to watch & more
The 2024 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament is approaching its end, with the best four teams of the competition, Pitt, Louisville, Nebraska, and Penn State, set to engage in some epic encounters in the semifinals. On December 19, the first semifinal will see ACC champion Pitt taking on Louisville, and later that day Big Ten champion Nebraska will play Penn State for a place in the championship game.
This edition will see a new champion after two years after Texas was eliminated by Creighton, who secured their second-ever Elite 8 appearance in the tournament. In 2023, Texas won back-to-back titles, defeating Nebraska 3-0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-11) in the championship game. In 2022, they prevailed over Louisville 3-0 to earn their first national title since 2012.

When and where to watch the 2024 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament?
ESPN will provide the live telecast for the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament for both the semi-finals. Meanwhile, one can access the live streaming for the semi-final on ESPN+ and the ESPN app. In addition to this, the matches will also be streamed live on Fubo. For the championship game, ABC will live telecast the match, scheduled to start at 3:00 PM Eastern Time.
What iss the format of the tournament?
Of the 64 teams in the tournament, 31 teams achieved automatic qualification by winning their conference championships, while the remaining 33 teams were selected based on their overall performance and merit.
The tournament followed a single-elimination format. The top 16 teams hosted the first two rounds, with winners advancing to regionals. These were hosted by the top four teams. The regional winners earned spots in the National Semifinals.
In the regional stage, the top four women’s volleyball teams, Pitt, Louisville, Nebraska, and Penn State, showed their dominance throughout and will now compete for the crown at the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament.
