Noah Lyles' top performances in 2024 as reigning 100m and 200m world champion gears up for U.S. Track and Field Olympic Team Trials 2024

Noah Lyles, the six-time World Championship gold medalist, has been in sensational form since the beginning of the season. Ever since the Indoor Grand Prix to kick off the season, Lyles has shown himself to be a formidable and hungry competitor in this Olympic year.

The 26-year-old Lyles has had numerous memorable performances this season. One such outing was his outdoor season debut win at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational. He also did well at the Racers Grand Prix 2024, in which he registered his season best in the men's 100-m event (9.85 seconds), roughly a month before the U.S. Olympics Track and Field Trials.

Bermuda Grand Prix 2024 (Men's 100-m event)

Lyles's most staggering performance in the men's 100-m race this season came in Devonshire during the USATF Bermuda Grand Prix. The 26-year-old clocked a run time of 9.96 seconds as he clinched the gold medal, beating the two-time Olympic gold medalist, Aaron Brown who managed a run time of 10.09 seconds.

United States of America Indoor Championships 2024 (Men's 60-m event)

Besides the outdoor events, Noah Lyles has also reigned supreme in numerous indoor tournaments that he has competed in. A prime example of this is the 2024 edition of the USA Indoor Championships in Albuquerque. During the event, Lyles clinched the gold medal in the men's 60-m event with a run time of 6.43 seconds.

United States Track and Field (USATF) New York City Grand Prix 2024 (Men's 200-m event)

The Gainesville native's only 200-m race this season came at the Icahn Stadium during the USATF New York City Grand Prix 2024. Lyles didn't disappoint, as the 2020 Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist (200-m) clinched the top position on the podium, registering a run time of 19.77 seconds.

World Athletics Indoor Championships 2024 (Men's 60-m event)

Noah Lyles clinched the first indoor title of his career at the World Athletics Indoor Championships 2024 in Glasgow. Even though Lyles lost the gold medal to his US counterpart, Christian Coleman, he bagged the silver medal with a run time of 6.44 seconds.

New Balance Indoor Grand Prix (Men's 60-m event)

Lyles' performance at the 2024 edition of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix is one of his most memorable performances from this season. During the event, he defeated numerous prominent stars, such as Fred Kerley and Ackeem Blake, in the men's 60-m event. He clinched the gold medal with a run time of 6.44 seconds.

Adidas Atlanta City Games 2024 (Men's 150-m event)

Lyles also proved his mettle in the Atlanta City Games at Piedmont Park as he raced to victory in another event (men's 150-m). In the process, he also set the national record in the 150-m apparatus at 14.41 seconds.
