"Not even in the next universe"- Usain Bolts shuts down Shannon Sharpe's claim of Tyreek Hill beating him in a 40-yard dash
Usain Bolt recently dismissed the speculations and claims made by Shannon Sharpe about Tyreek Hill defeating the Jamaican in a 40m dash. The Jamaican legend has often found himself being a part of discussions where his incredible sprint records are being challenged. However, it has been over a decade that his sprinting world records remain long-standing.
The 40m dash became a topic of discussion among NFL and athletics fans after Xavier Worthy ran the 40-yard in an impressive 4.21s earlier this year. This led to comparisons of NFL players with track athletes like Usain Bolt and Christian Coleman.
Shannon Sharpe brought about this discussion in his popular show "Night Cap". Answering a question about who would win a 40-yard dash Usain Bolt or Tyreek Hill in the current scenario he said,
" Probably Tyreek, Usain Bolt probably has not run since he retired, since he last ran the 2017 World Championship in which he won the Bronze. So, I take Tyreek."
Bolt took to X to dismiss all such claims and asserted that he would be dominating even now.
"Not even in a next universe," he wrote.
Moreover, Sharpe answered a comparison between the current World Indoor Champion, Christian Coleman, and Tyreek Hill.
" Christian Coleman, I'll blow the doors of Tyreek. Man, Christian Coleman, you see how he gets out of the block?," he said.
Usain Bolt speaks on going one on one with Tyreek Hill
Usain Bolt appeared on the Par McAfee show and spoke about going head-to-head against Tyreek Hill while discussing the ongoing debate about the fastest runner in the NFL. The duo discussed the opportunity of going head-to-head against each other.
"Me and Tyreek Hill got into it one time because he is a gatorade sponsored athlete also. So we got into it and he was like, yo, you could take me. He was talking bla bla bla but then I went to the combine one year and if you go on the net right now.. I ran 4.22 in my sweats.Come on Tyreek Hill. You got no chance what so ever," he said.
Bolt retired from the sport in 2019, but remains updated and follows it like a fan. Due to his worldwide influence and reach, he has been chosen to be the ambassador of the Men's T20 Cricket World Cup scheduled in June.
