Paris Olympics 2024 Day 11: Medal Events for Team USA on 6 Aug ft. Gabby Thomas in 200m, Amit Elor in 68kg freestyle

Day ten of the Paris Olympics saw the United States slip to second place, behind China. The U.S. team has collected 77 medals thus far, including 20 gold, 30 silver, and 27 bronze.

On August 5, Team USA's athletes displayed their brilliance in multiple sports such as Athletics, Gymnastics, Wrestling, and Shooting. Valarie Allman secured her second consecutive gold medal in the discus throw with an impressive throw of 69.50 meters. In the process, she earned the 20th gold medal for the USA at this edition of the quadrennial games.

Besides Allman, Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, Vincent Hancock, and Austen Smith were a few of the top performers for the USA on Day 10 of the ongoing Paris Olympics. Additionally, Team USA team achieved a sensational second-place finish in the triathlon mixed relay, courtesy of Taylor Knibb, Morgan Pearson, Seth Rider, and Taylor Spivey's solid performances.

The United States will be eyeing more Olympic medals on Day 11 of the marquee event, with Amit Elor, Gabby Thomas, Brittany Brown, McKenzie Long, Cole Hocker, Hobbs Kessler, Omari Jones, Karl Cook, and Laura Kraut being some of the top names to watch out for.
