Day fourteen of the 2024 Paris Olympics saw the USA team add three gold, one silver, and four bronze medals to their tally. This puts the United States level with China on 33 gold medals, but ahead in the overall standings due to their superior silver medal count.
On August 9, 2024, Rai Benjamin (400 m hurdles), Melissa Jefferson, Sha'Carri Richardson, Twanisha Terry, Gabby Thomas (women’s 4x100m relay), and Olivia Reeves (Weightlifting - women’s 71kg) were the gold medalists at the Paris Olympics. Spencer Lee was the lone silver medalist of the day, winning his medal in the men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling.
Meanwhile, Aaron Brooks in Wrestling - men’s freestyle 86kg, the USA men’s volleyball team, Helen Maroulis in Wrestling - women's freestyle 57kg, and Kristina Teachout in Taekwondo - women's 67kg, bagged the bronze medals.
