Paris Olympics 2024 Medal Count Day 15: Updated tally as Team USA stands 1st after Sha'Carri Richardson-led 4x100m relay team wins gold
With only two days remaining for the Paris Olympics 2024 to conclude, the USA is dominating the medal tally table with 111 medals. The Americans have so far collected 33 gold, 39 silver, and 39 bronze medals.
They are followed by the Chinese and Australian squads with 83 (33 gold, 27 silver, and 23 bronze) and 48 (18 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze) medals, respectively. Next are the Japanese and the British squads with 37(16 gold) and 57 (14 gold) medals.

Rai Benjamin clinched a gold medal in the men's 400m hurdles at the 2024 Paris Olympics after clocking 46.46 seconds on Friday. To achieve this feat, he defeated Karsten Warholm and Alison Dos Santos, who clocked 47.06 and 47.26 seconds, respectively.
Sha'Carri Richardson, Gabby Thomas, Melissa Jefferson, and Twanisha Terry repeated their 2023 World Athletics Championships feat at the Paris Olympics and secured a gold medal in the women's 4x100m relay race. The American team clocked an impressive time of 41.78 seconds to surpass the British and the German squads, who recorded 41.85 and 41.97 seconds, respectively.
Olivia Reeves took home a gold medal in the women's 71kg weightlifting event after lifting 117kg in snatch and 145kg in clean and jerk. She defeated Colombia's Mari Sanchez and Ecuador's Angie Palacios, who lifted 257 and 256 kgs, respectively. Spencer Lee earned a silver medal in the men's 57kg wrestling after a 4-2 bout with Japan's Rei Higuchi.
Kristina Teachout earned the first medal in Taekwondo for the USA in the women's 67kg category after defeating China's Song Jie in two sets. The American men's volleyball national team secured a bronze medal after defeating the Italian squad 3-0. While Aaron Brooks secured a bronze medal in the men's 86kg freestyle wrestling, Helen Maroulis grabbed a bronze medal in women's 57 kg.
