Paris Olympics gold-medalist Quincy Wilson makes an appearance at the Coach Saint Invitational to cheer for his Bullis teammates

Quincy Wilson has had an incredible but busy 2024, and the runner is making the most of his time off before he returns to the track for the 2025 season. Recently, the youngster made an appearance at the Coach Saint Invitational meet to cheer for his teammates from the Bullis track and field team.

At just 16 years old, Wilson has established himself as one of Team USA’s most promising 400m runners. His year has seen him break multiple U18 world records and qualify for the Paris Olympics, where he ran the 4x400m relay heats. The team eventually went on to win gold in the finals, making the American the youngest track athlete to win an Olympic title.

Now, before he heads back to the track for the next season, Wilson is enjoying the holidays. He recently attended the Coach Saint Invitational meet in New York to cheer for his Bullis track and field teammates. An Instagram account shared a post from the meet and wrote,

“Quincy Wilson didn't run at this meet but was there supporting his team.”

Wilson reshared the story, confirming his attendance.

Quincy Wilson’s season began at the VA Showcase in January, where he clinched gold in the 500m and the sprint relay. In February, he won the 600m at the Millrose Invitational, and a month later he finished first at the New Balance Nationals Indoor 400m.

Wilson's outdoor season saw him win the 400m at the New Balance Nationals before racing at the US Olympic Trials, where he reset the World U18 record twice on his way to a sixth-place finish in the finals.

As a result, the American was named the USATF Youth Athlete of the Year. In his speech receiving the award, Quincy Wilson spoke on the importance of self-belief, saying,

"I want to take a moment to speak to everyone out there who's faced doubt or fear. One of my most important lessons I've learned is to never ever doubt yourself. Believe in yourself. It's the foundation of everything, whether it's sports, life, or anything you pursue. There were many times when I didn't know if I could make it, but I learned that if you trust yourself, keep working, and stay focused on your goals, the possibilities are endless.”
"We all face setbacks and challenges. There will always be times when the road feels impossible to travel, but if you believe in your abilities and keep pushing forward, you will rise above it all. Don't let fear or doubt define you. Stay focused, stay faithful, and always trust that the best is yet to come,” he added.

After his incredible 2024 season, Paris Olympics gold medalist Quincy Wilson has committed to racing the 2025 VA Showcase, which is scheduled for January 17. He will enter the event as the defending champion in the 500m.
