Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes make special appearance to watch Suni Lee win Uneven Bars medal at Paris Olympics 2024
Suni Lee did not rest on her laurels as she continued her impressive streak, winning her third medal of the Paris Olympics. The American gymnast claimed a bronze medal in the uneven bars final, finishing behind Algeria’s Kaylia Nemour, who won her country’s first gold medal in gymnastics, and Qiu Qiyuan of China.
Among the notable gymnastics fans out to cheer for Suni Lee on Sunday, August 4 were celebrity couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes.
In a photo shared by NBC Sport, Gosling and Mendes were spotted watching Suni Lee’s performance on the uneven bars.
The photo was captioned:
"This Ken's job is 'gymnastics fan.' 🤩. Ryan Gosling & Eva Mendes are in the building for the uneven bars final!"
Competing on the uneven bars, Lee took her medal tally to three at the Paris Olympics. At the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Lee won the bronze medal on the uneven bars. She finished third at the event again in Paris.
Lee claimed a silver medal in the team event at the Tokyo Games and Team USA improved on that by winning gold at the Paris Olympics. She also won the bronze medal in the individual all-around at the 2024 Games.
She will have the opportunity to add another medal to her already decorated cabinet when she lines up for the balance beam final on Monday.
Suni Lee joins Simone Biles in throwing jibe at MyKayla Skinner after Team USA wins gold medal at Paris Olympics
Suni Lee joined Simone Biles in firing shots at retired gymnast MyKayla Skinner following remarks she made about the current crop of American gymnasts.
In a since-deleted YouTube video, Skinner noted that apart from Simone Biles, the other USA gymnasts lack discipline and are not as determined as former gymnasts.
"Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t like what it used to be. A lot of girls don't work as hard.... The girls just don’t have the work ethic," Skinner had said.
After winning gold, Biles shared a series of photos of the team and captioned the Instagram post:
"Lack of talent, lazy, Olympic champions."
Lee, rallying behind Simone Biles, said in the comments section:
"Put a finger down if Simone Biles just ended you."
Biles and Lee have continued their hot streak at the Paris Olympics, with the former winning gold in the individual all-around and vault. Lee claimed a bronze medal in the all-around final and on uneven bars.
