Simone Biles' husband Jonathan Owens gushes over the gymnast as they make a court side appearance at Chicago Bulls vs Timberwolves
Simone Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, recently made a courtside appearance at the Chicago Bulls vs Timberwolves NBA game. Owens shared photos from their time together at the game and lavished praise on his wife.
Biles and Owens first met in 2020 via the celebrity dating app Raya, just when the COVID-19 pandemic began. The duo went public a handful of months later in August, and have continued to share regular updates about their life with fans and followers on social media.
The couple got engaged in February 2022 and married a little over a year later in April 2023. Biles and Owens are often spotted in the stands cheering for each other when they compete, with the NFL safety even making the trip to the Paris Olympics earlier this year when the gymnast was competing.
Now, after the conclusion of Simone Biles' Olympic campaign and her ‘Gold Over America’ Tour, the couple is making the most of their time together. They attended the Chicago Bulls vs the Timberwolves NBA game, and were photographed courtside. Sharing these snaps to his Instagram story, Owens gushed over his wife, writing,
“Man ain't she beautiful.”
Jonathan Owens on watching Simone Biles at the Paris Olympics
In 2021, Simone Biles pulled out of multiple finals at the Tokyo Games to prioritize her mental health. Three years later, she completed her comeback journey at the Paris Olympics, with incredible performances.
Biles helped USA reclaim their team gold at the 2024 Games and followed it up with individual gold medals in the all-around and vault finals. She ended her campaign in Paris with a silver on the floor. As the gymnast competed, her husband, Jonathan Owens, was present in the stands to cheer her on.
The NFL star even admitted to shedding tears of joy at his wife’s victory when he appeared on the Intercepted with Kevin Byard podcast.
"Honestly man just being like, in the culture man, and obviously just seeing her get those three gold medals man, that was like, incredible. I was, you know, in tears of joy up there.”
"Afterwards, me and all her family, we all pictures with her medal and, just even holding it, bro I'm like... it's heavier than you think, and it's like, they made, a piece of it is from the Eiffel Tower, so they all have a piece of the Eiffel Tower on the Paris gold medals," he added.
After her exploits at the Paris Olympics, the roles of Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have been reversed, with the gymnast cheering in the stands as her husband competes for the Chicago Bears.
