Simone Biles, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Gabby Thomas, Mikaela Shiffrin and more encourage fans to cast their vote in the US presidential elections
Team USA’s biggest sporting stars are using their platforms to encourage fans to go vote in the ongoing US presidential elections. Simone Biles, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Gabby Thomas, Masai Russell, Mikaela Shiffrin, and Lindsey Vonn all took the time to outline the importance of voting for their audience.
For Biles, McLaughlin-Levrone, Thomas, and Russell, 2024 has been an incredibly successful year. The gymnast was stunning at the Paris Olympics, and returned home with four medals, three of which were gold. Meanwhile, McLaughlin-Levrone defended her Olympic title in the 400m hurdles on track, Thomas was the only track and field athlete to win three golds at the 2024 Games, and Russell was crowned Olympic champion in the 100m hurdles.
Both Simone Biles and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone headed to the ballots with their husbands, and shared snaps of themselves with ‘I voted’ stickers.
Gabby Thomas and Masai Russell also took the time to urge fans to go vote.
Meanwhile, both Mikaela Shiffrin and Lindsey Vonn have amassed a massive amount of fans credit to their incredible skills on the alpine skiing slopes. Shiffrin is currently competing in her 15th FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup season, and Vonn is a retired skier who has continued to use her platform to champion causes she cares about.
Shiffrin re-shared an old post, encouraging fans to vote. The caption of the orginal post reads:

On the other hand, Lindsey Vonn shared a snap of her offical election mail, writing:
“The 19th amendment was passed for women to have the right to vote. We need to use that right today. Please vote.”
Simone Biles shares unique message for voters
Simone Biles went to vote alongside her husband Jonathan Owens, and she is now encouraging fans to do the same. The 27-year-old even had a unique message to motivate her followers to vote.
Taking to her Instagram stories, the gymnast re-shared a post that read ‘Only the hottest people hit curbs and fight for reproductive freedom.” Biles captioned her story:
“I don't make the rules.”
For Simone Biles, 2024 has been an incredibly successful year on a personal note. She started her season competing domestically, where she went unbeaten in the all-around. She then headed to the Paris Olympics, where she helped USA reclaim the team gold, while also winning the all-around and vault titles, as well as a silver on the floor.
