Simone Biles takes Gold Over America Tour's team out for dinner as Tour approaches its end
American gymnastics legend Simone Biles took her Gold Over America Tour teammates for dinner. After months of showcasing gymnastics brilliance, the tour is set to conclude on Sunday.
After the Paris Olympics, Biles and teammates, including Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Joscelyn Roberson, and others, launched the second edition of the Gold Over America Tour in September. Unlike the first edition of the tour in 2021, which featured only female gymnasts, this year's lineup included male gymnasts as well, such as Yul Moldauer, Paul Juda, and Fred Richard, among others. After covering 29 cities across the United States, the event is coming to an end in Detroit, Michigan, on Sunday, November 3.
To celebrate the success of the spectacle, the 27-year-old went out for dinner accompanied by her fellow American gymnast Yul Moldauer. The latter shared pictures of the evening on his Instagram stories, thanking Biles for the dinner and writing:
"Dinner Thank you @simonebiles," he wrote in the caption.
Besides the tour, Biles had an incredible 2024 season where she became the most decorated American Olympic gymnast. She kicked off her season by winning the all-around at the 2024 U.S. Classic in Hartford, Connecticut, in May.
Following that, Biles went on to win a record-extending ninth all-around title at the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, in June, which earned her an automatic spot for the Paris Olympics. At the Paris Games, she claimed three gold medals in the team all-around, individual all-around, and vault events, along with a silver in the floor exercise.
Simone Biles opened up on her bond with her Gold Over America Tour castmates - "We’re watching out for one another"
In a September 2024 interview with NBC News, Simone Biles reflected on her connection with her tour mates, noting that they share a great bond akin to brotherhood and sisterhood.
"I feel like what we have out here is really more of a brotherhood and a sisterhood," Biles said. We’re watching out for one another, but we’re also having fun and giving everyone their flowers because we all had such an amazing time in Paris. To celebrate that success with one another, as well as the crowd, is truly a blessing."
The tour cast members also attended the Los Angeles premiere of the second season of her Netflix docuseries Simone Biles Rising: Part 2.
