Renowned artistic gymnast Simone Biles has expressed her gratitude to fans for their support for the 2024 Gold Over America Tour. So far, the tour has featured two shows at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California, on September 16-17 (Monday-Tuesday), and at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 18 (Wednesday).

In addition to Biles, the Gold Over America Tour team includes prominent American gymnasts like Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Hezly Rivera, Joscelyn Roberson, Brody Malone, Paul Juda, and Fred Richard. Meanwhile, international gymnastics stars like Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos from France, Canada’s Ellie Black, and Dutch gymnast Casimir Schmidt will also perform alongside the American gymnasts during the tour.

The excitement for the tour has been rapidly building among the fans as the gymnasts recently appeared in a never-seen-before look, donning pilot-themed leotards. Notably, the Gold Over America Tour, which kicked off on Monday, is set to run for over a month with the shows scheduled across various American states before culminating at the Little Caesars Arena in Michigan State’s Detroit City on November 3.

Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in the history of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, recently took to her Instagram Threads following the success of the shows held at the Frontwave Arena and Footprint Center. She expressed gratitude to the fans for their love and support, and for showing up in large numbers, writing:

“I can’t believe this turnout so far, FOREVER GRATEFUL”

The seven-time Olympic gold medalist also wrote:

“the way the arenas are filled from top to bottom 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU”

It is worth noting that all the gymnasts from the Gold Over America Tour will next take the stage at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, on September 20.

Simone Biles shared that the name ‘GOAT Tour’ was picked to highlight her reputation as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) as well as the acronym for ‘Gold Over America Tour.’

In an interview with NBC 7, she further mentioned that one of her friends made the suggestion, adding (starting 2:28 onwards):

“It’s so much fun. My friend actually made the name for the Tour because we were kind of stuck on it for a while. So, we were like what can we do so it’s an acronym for Gold Over America Tour. I just thought that was perfect. Then I was like ‘Absolutely’. Because it’s not about winning medals, it’s really about each and every one of us have a story to tell and each and every one of us have a piece of golden side of us. We just have to figure out what that is and let it shine.”

Notably, the current edition is the second edition of the tour, with the first installment launched in 2021 right after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
