WATCH: Jordan Chiles cries in disbelief after winning floor bronze, celebrates with Simone Biles & co at Paris Olympics 2024
Team USA went ecstatic in their celebrations after it was confirmed that Jordan Chiles won the bronze medal in the floor exercise at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
At the Bercy Arena on Monday (August 4), Chiles took the floor in search of her maiden individual gold medal. Her two medals have so far come in the team events — silver at Tokyo 2020 and gold in Paris.
While she did her best to put her name on the podium, it wasn't quite enough. A few unstable landings meant she finished in fifth place with a score of 13.666. However, an inquiry was submitted and the judges ended up changing her score.
The American ended up clinching the bronze medal with a score of 13.766. As soon as the score was announced at the stadium, Chiles was overcome with emotions. Alongside her, Simone Biles and other members of the team were just as thrilled with the news.

Simone Biles and Rebecca Andrade join Jordan Chiles on floor podium at 2024 Paris Olympics
Jordan Chiles was the last gymnast to secure her spot on the floor exercise podium at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Rebeca Andrade and Simone Biles won the gold and silver, respectively.
Heading into the final, Biles was the favorite to win the gold medal due to the difficulty of her high-flying routine. However, two costly errors proved to be her undoing.
The 27-year-old landed with two feet out of bounds on two of her four tumbling passes. The deductions she incurred due to those errors meant she had to settle for silver with a score of 14.133.
While Andrade had a less difficult routine, she produced an almost flawless performance to take home the gold medal with a score of 14.166. In doing so, she became the first Brazilian to win a women's floor exercise gold medal. It was also her sixth Olympic medal, which makes her the most decorated Olympian from Brazil.
Earlier in the day, Biles and Suni Lee stumbled in the balance beam final. Both fell off the beam and failed to win a medal. Biles finished her campaign in Paris with 4 medals -- three gold medals and one silver. She is now the most-decorated US gymnast at the Games, with 11 to her name (seven gold medals) so far.
