What watch did Noah Lyles wear during 100m final at Paris Olympics 2024? All about the Olympic champion's wristwear worth over $14,000

Noah Lyles delivered an incredible finish in the 100m final at the Paris Olympics 2024. The American sprinter beat Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson by five-thousandth of a second to win his maiden Olympic gold medal.

Lyles was spotted wearing an Omega watch during the 100m finals. He was wearing Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon in Black Ceramic. It costs $14,300. The watch is a 44.25mm model and celebrates the history of the Speedmaster on the Apollo 8 mission of 1968.

The front of the watch has a black anodized aluminum dial which reveals the visible side of the satellite. It's Swiss-made and comes with a rubber strap.

Lyles was wearing the watch during the preliminary round and the semifinals as well. He came second to Britain's Louis Hinchlife in the first round and Jamaica's Oblique Seville in the semifinal, despite running 9.83. However, the 27-year-old came clutch in the finals to win gold.

Lyles was placed outside in Lane 8, and while it looked like Kishane Thompson and Fred Kerley were running away with the first two finishes on his far left side, the American stole the show in the last stride of the final. Both Lyles and Thompson clocked 9.79s, but the American’s torso crossed the finish line five-thousandths of a second ahead of the Jamaican, leading to his maiden Olympic gold medal.

Having won triple gold at the 2023 World Championships, Noah Lyles has a big chance of claiming all three of the titles at the Paris Olympics 2024. In fact, he has expressed the desire to go for four gold medals.

Lyles has received criticism for his big talking, but he has regularly backed the talk with on-field performances. When asked about how he felt after winning the gold against a faster lineup than him, he replied (via Olympics.com):

"It feels good to back it up."

Now a world champion and an Olympic champion, Noah Lyles wants his ‘own shoe’.

"I want my own shoe," he said. "I want my own trainer — I'm dead serious. There ain't no money in spikes, it's in sneakers. And even Michael Johnson didn't have his own sneaker. I feel like for how many medals we bring back, for the notoriety we get … the fact that that hasn't happened, that's crazy to me. I was like, 'Yeah, that needs to happen.'," he added.

The 27-year-old will go after a historic double in the coming days. With 200m as his premier event, he will be an overwhelming favorite to get a second gold medal.
