When is Sha'Carri Richardson competing at Paris Olympics 2024? Complete schedule of the world champion explored

Sha'Carri Richardson has established herself as one of the United States' top sprinters over the past few years. After missing out on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics held in 2021, she redeemed herself at the 2023 World Athletics Championships, winning gold medals in the women’s 100m and 4x100m relay events, and a bronze in the 200m event.

This time, she will take center stage at the Olympics after an outstanding performance at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Track and Field trials. In the women’s 100m, Richardson dominated the trials, clocking a world-leading time of 10.71s, to finish ahead of compatriots Melissa Jefferson (10.80) and Twanisha Terry (10.89).

With this performance at the trials, she secured her spot in the women’s 100m and 4x100m relay events at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Although she also attempted for a place in the women’s 200m at the Paris Olympics, she narrowly missed out, finishing fourth with a time of 22.16s at the trials. Only the top three athletes in the trials qualified for the Paris Olympics, as per the rules established by USA Track and Field, the national governing body.

As a result, Richardson will have an opportunity to bring home an individual Olympic gold medal only in the women’s 100m. With this, let’s take a look at the schedule of Sha'Carri Richardson provided that she qualifies in each of the rounds.
