When will Katie Ledecky compete at Paris Olympics 2024? Exploring the American's competition schedule

Katie Ledecky is all set to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She will compete in four events to make her fourth appearance at the Games, including the 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle, 1500m freestyle, and 4x200m freestyle relay events.

Ledecky competed at the 2012 London Olympics as the youngest swimmer on the team and secured her first Olympic gold medal in the 800m freestyle event. Further, she went on to secure four gold and one silver medal at the 2016 Rio Games and two gold and two silver medals at the Tokyo Olympics.

Ledecky will compete in the 4x200m freestyle relay along with Erin Gemmell, Paige Madden, Anna Peplowski, and Alex Shackell, Claire Weinstein (one of whom remains a reserved player). Ledecky secured the spot to compete in the 400m event after dominating the lineup at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials, held in Indianapolis.

She recorded a spectacular time of 3:58.35 to defeat Madden and Cox Jillian. Moreover, she topped the 800m to grab the Olympic spot by recording an impressive time of 8:14.12 to leave behind Madden and Cox, who posted 8:20.71 and 8:22.97. She will compete in Paris to clinch her fourth consecutive Olympic gold medal in the event.

After bagging a gold medal in the 1500m freestyle event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she will be seen defending her title in Paris, for which she earned the berth by clocking 15:37.35.

The swimming events at the 2024 Paris Olympics will commence on Saturday, July 27, with its conclusion on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
