Which of the USA women's gymnasts are competing in the team finals? Complete list and order ft. Simone Biles

The US women's gymnastics team qualified for the team finals as the top seed, after totaling the score of the qualification round to 179.296. On July 30, the women will compete in the Team finals. Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey and Simone Biles have been assigned for the vault; Chiles, Biles and Suni Lee in the uneven bars; while Chiles, Lee and Biles will take the balance beam and floor exercise.

Jade Carey, the 2020 Olympic floor champion, faced an uncharacteristic fall while performing her floor routine in the qualification round at the Paris Games. She was not feeling quite well and shared that her mind was not in a proper place.

"I had, like, no energy today and didn't really have a sense of what was going on in my head," she said to Olympics.com.

However, she redeemed herself in the vault and earned 14.433, enough to book a seat in the Team finals competition.

The US women's gymnastics team finished second to Russia at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the wake of Biles' withdrawal because of 'twisties'. But the team's total qualification score is way ahead of second-placed Italy (166.681), making them a clear gold favorite for the gymnastics Team finals on July 30.

Simone Biles' came back with more promising performances after tweaking her ankle

During the floor warmup, the four-time Olympic gold medalist tweaked her calf and was assisted by USA Gymnastics team doctor Marcia Faustin. Her leg was taped, raising concerns among fans and well-wishers. However, Biles didn't let the first day of the 2024 Summer Games look like her Tokyo Olympics turbulence when she withdrew midway through the competition.

According to coach Cecile Landi's conversation with NBC, Biles just “felt a little pain in her calf”, which didn't hamper her performance in the competition. She retained her top position by accumulating 59.566, 1.866 ahead of arch-rival Rebeca Andrade.

Biles was also spotted limping, but she collected 15.800 in the vault, performing the Yurchenko Double Pike, the fifth skill named after her as Biles II.
