Simone Biles' husband Jonathan Owens penned a heartfelt message after she won the gold medal in the team event at the Paris Olympics. This gold medal takes her overall Olympic medal count to eight, making her the most decorated gymnast of all time.
Simone Biles marched into the Paris Olympics, which was the third consecutive Olympic campaign of her career, with great momentum after incredible performances in the 2024 season. In the process, she became the fourth American female artistic gymnast to qualify for three consecutive Olympic Games.
After a dominant display at the Paris Olympics, Team USA secured a formidable win with a total score of 171.296. Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera were members of the U.S. women's gymnastics team who competed in the finals of the Paris Olympics. Team Italy secure the silver medal with a score of 165.494.
Simone Biles' husband Jonathan Owens, an NFL player, had arrived in Paris to witness the finals of the women's gymnastics event. He was seen cheering the team on along with Biles' parents. Owens took to Instagram to congratulate his wife and penned a heartfelt message expressing admiration for her incredible achievement of winning eight Olympic medals.

Jonathan Owens had taken a special permission to witness Simone Biles perform at the Olympics
Jonathan Owens had signed a two-year deal with the Chicago Bears earlier this year in March. He revealed in an interview that he had planned on traveling to Paris even before signing the contract with the Bears.
He revealed that his agents had talked about his trip to Paris during the Olympics to cheer for his wife, Simone Biles when he signed the contract.
“It was something me and my agent talked about when we went in and I signed with the team. The Olympics coming up and who my wife is, that was just something ... it was all respectful. We went to them and just asked, ‘We would really appreciate it if he could go and support his wife,’ and they were really cool about it," he said. (as quoted by apnews)
Biles will be in action in the women's all-around final scheduled on August 1, 2024, at 18:15 (local time).
