WNBA star Aliyah Boston drops 2-word reaction to Gabby Thomas' 'new hair color'
Reigning Olympic champion Gabby Thomas recently received praise from her fellow athlete, Indiana Fever power forward Aliyah Boston, who expressed her admiration for the runner's new style statement. Thomas is currently sweating it out in the training sessions to prepare for the 2025 season.
The American runner began training for the next season following a highly successful 2024 season where she claimed three gold medals at the Paris Olympics. She keeps her followers updated regarding the progress of her training on her TikTok handle. In a recent post, the 27-year-old shared a video on her handle flaunting her new hair color.
Her new fashion statement was applauded by the fans who showered her with heartwarming comments on the video. Joining the admirers was the 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year star, Aliyah Boston, who commented:
"This eats."
In response, the Harvard graduate replied with a kiss face emoji.
This past August, Thomas became the first American woman to win an individual Olympic gold since Alyson Felix's victory at the 2012 London Olympics. Thomas reigned supreme in the 200m event to secure a victory over St. Lucia's Julien Alfred with a time of 21.83 seconds.
In addition, she contributed to the USA's success in the 4x100m relay gold alongside Sha'Carri Richardson and helped clinch the 4x400m relay gold with Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. The win in the 4x400m relay marked the United States' eighth consecutive Olympic gold in the event, set in a new national record time.
"It is the mindset that I’ve cultivated through my training" - Gabby Thomas reflects on what keeps her going
In a September conversation with Self, Gabby Thomas shared that the strong mindset that she developed through rigorous training over the years plays a key role in keeping her motivated on the track and that being on the track itself is what truly drives her.
"When it comes to feeling hot, it’s all about a mindset that I’ve cultivated through my training, style, and little rituals. First, nothing makes me feel more confident than stepping onto the track knowing I’ve put in the work," Thomas said.
"Mental confidence is a huge part of my sport, and the energy that comes from knowing I’m at my strongest is what truly makes me feel fabulous. So every day, I’m building the habit of training consistently, working hard, and pushing my limits," she added.
Gabby Thomas called it a day on her 2024 season after finishing second at the Athlos NYC, a women-only meet held in September.
