NCIS: Origins gets full season order at CBS
NCIS: Origins is a police procedural series narrated and executive produced by Mark Harmon, who played Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the popular CBS investigation drama, NCIS for 19 seasons till 2021.
NCIS: Origins tells the story of a young Leroy Gibbs, played by Austin Stowell who joins NIS after his wife and daughter are killed by the drug kingpin Pedro Hernandez.
The series is set in 1991, and deals with a particular case in every episode, while gradually building the story of how Gibbs got his revenge with the help of Mike Franks and became an ace special agent.
Till now five episodes of the series have been aired and episode 6 titled Incognito, will air on CBS on November 11, 2024, at 10:00 pm Eastern Time and 9:00 pm Central Time. The show has gained the confidence of CBS and nagged a full season order only after five episodes. It stars Austin Stowell, Kyle Schmid, and Mariel Molino in prominent roles.

NCIS: Origins looks set for a long run on CBS, having secured a full 18-episode season after just five episodes. Set in 1991, the show explores the story of a young, grieving Marine who becomes a top NCIS agent, adding depth to the NCIS franchise. Averaging 6.2 million viewers, it ranks as the network’s third most-watched new show, just behind Matlock and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
The President of CBS Entertainment Amy Reisenbach praised the show and said that the show 'has added a brilliant new dimension to the NCIS franchise with an origin story of Leroy Jethro Gibbs and a cinematic 90s experience that features distinct characters, stories and crime solving.'

One can watch the new episodes of the show every Monday on CBS at 10:00 pm Eastern Time and 9:00 pm Central Time.
