"Goodbye Ronaldo": IShowSpeed cries on livestream after Portugal gets knocked out of the Euros
YouTube streamer Darren "IShowSpeed" ended up crying on stream after his favorite international football team Portugal was knocked out of the UEFA Euros by France. The streamer had been watching the whole match on his YouTube channel and was heartbroken as a Cristiano Ronaldo fan after his team lost in the penalty shootouts.
Taking to X, Speed shared a photo of himself with puffy eyes and wearing a Portugal jersey and lamented Cristiano Ronaldo's exit from the Euros in the captions, saying:
"Goodbye ronaldo"

For those unaware, IShowSpeed has been living in Europe for the last few weeks and got a house in Germany so he could follow the ongoing football tournament UEFA Euros. Besides attending Portugal's matches, he has also been traveling to other countries and doing IRL streams which sometimes get a little too volatile.
IShowSpeed has a very public obsession with Cristiano Ronaldo. The YouTuber even has a Lamborghini Huracan with a custom paint job featuring the Portuguese footballer. Naturally, he was emotionally invested in the team's chances at the UEFA Euros and was devastated after they lost in the quarter-final to France after taking it to the penalty shootouts.
Speed had been following the match on a TV screen on his livestream and broke down crying after Portugal lost. In his frustration, he even smashed a couple of glass utensils that were on the table next to him.
A distraught IShowSpeed struggled to believe that Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal couldn't qualify for the semis and could not even get any words out as he paced around the room in distress. Clips from the moment have gone viral on social media as viewers shared them on platforms like X where they have garnered hundreds of thousands of views within hours.
The streamer also made a post about Cristiano Ronaldo on Instagram, stating:
"damn man it can’t be only me whose feeling like this i can’t stop crying, knowing this is his last game with portugal just makes me feel like im dead inside💔 ill forever support this man. WE LOVE YOU Ronaldo and i love everybody else on portugal national squad keep yall head up"
IShowSpeed is planning to visit other European countries too, despite the horrible experience he had to endure in Norway a couple of days ago where fans assaulted him in the streets of Oslo.
