Kai Cenat risks Twitch ban after accidentally viewing explicit content on livestream

Twitch star Kai Cenat has garnered attention on social media after accidentally viewing explicit content during his livestream. On December 22, 2024, the two-time Streamer of the Year award winner reacted to top posts on his official subreddit, r/TheKM.

At one point, the content creator clicked on a submission labeled "Kai Cenat Best Stream of 2024," which led him to a dubious website. After the website displayed a "closure announcement," two explicit images appeared on the screen.

After expressing his surprise at the situation, the New Yorker immediately closed the browser window and exclaimed loudly. While confronting his viewers for sharing a questionable link on his subreddit, Kai Cenat said:

"Hey! What link did you all n****s just give me? Yo, what link did you all... (the streamer reviews the content of the website off-screen) what link did you just send me? Thank god it was no crazy s**t. But bro, that s**t scared the f**k out of me, n***a! Banned! Bro, what link did you all n****s just send me, bro?! (The streamer says the website's name out loud) What the f**k?!"

Instances where Twitch streamers got banned after accidentally showing explicit content on their livestream

In November 2020, popular gaming Twitch streamer Sebastian "Forsen" made headlines when he was banned for the third time on Twitch. The news spread like wildfire on social media platforms such as Reddit and X, prompting numerous netizens to wonder why the streamer was suspended.

The Swedish personality eventually revealed the reason for his Twitch ban in an X post on November 27, 2020. He was barred indefinitely from the livestreaming platform after accidentally showing an explicit GIF.

Here's what Forsen wrote on X:

"I'm currently banned for the horse GIF. The ban is indefinite which means (an) undetermined ban duration. Unlucky."

In another incident, on January 27, 2024, FaZe Clan member Maxwell "Plaqueboymax" received his second ban. As the news started making rounds on the internet, fans speculated that the ban could be traced back to a livestream in which he accidentally displayed explicit content.

Just like Forsen and Plaqueboymax, Ethan "crankgameplays" Nestor was banned for the first time on August 19, 2024, after inadvertently coming across adult content during his Wikipedia speedrun subathon.
