KSI says he doesn't "think" there will be Sidemen Charity Match 2024
Sidemen member JJ "KSI" has taken to his YouTube channel (JJ Olatunji) to give a surprising update on the Sidemen Charity Match, the eponymous group's most popular fundraising event series. For those unfamiliar, Sidemen has hosted six charity matches since 2015 (the latest one was in September 2023). They are typically played between Sidemen FC and YouTube All-Stars XI.
However, KSI has suggested that the event might not return this year. While reacting to a post on Reddit (which suggested new additions to the charity match series), the YouTuber said:
"Theo Von? He's a hilarious guy. Kinda weird, but you know what? I f**k with it. I don't know how he will be on a football pitch."
There were other suggestions, such as Nicholas "Jynxzi," Mark "Markiplier," Kylie "Sketch," and Logan Paul. Reacting to these names, the content creator said:
"Yeah, of course (reacting to Jynxzi). I just don't think he (Markiplier) would accept. I feel like he's just in his realm. This is no offence to Markiplier. I just don't think he will say 'yes.' Yeah could be (reacting to Sketch). Yeah, if he's available (reacting to Logan Paul). Charlie (MoistCr1TiKaL), yeah, of course.
"I'm happy with all of these. I don't think there will be a Sidemen Charity Match this year. There definitely will be one next year and it is going to be one of the biggest charity matches we have ever done. But yeah, I don't think we're doing one this year."

Did KSI play in last year's Sidemen Charity Match?
The Sidemen Charity Match 2023 was the group's biggest event to date. The match was held at the London Stadium with a capacity of 60,000. It ended with Sidemen FC triumphing over the YouTube All Stars XI with a score of 8-5.
Interestingly, KSI took on the role of goalkeeper for the home team in that year's event, a surprising change since he usually played in the midfield, as he did in the Sidemen Charity Match 2022. Despite the position switch, he had an eventful match.
In a dramatic turn of events, KSI saved a penalty against fellow creator and online nemesis Darren "IShowSpeed" in the 55th minute. However, in the 68th minute, he accidentally scored an own goal, which turned out to be merely a consolation for the away team.
The exact reason behind this year's possible cancellation of the Sidemen Charity Match is yet to be declared by the group. Further updates will be provided in due course.
