NBA makes major changes to creator program with Kai Cenat hosting behind-the-scenes segment on 2024-25 season opening
The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced that Kai Cenat will be the presenter for the opener of the upcoming season. He will provide a behind-the-scenes account of the New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics game. Furthermore, as per the NBA's official release, many other changes have been brought to its Creator Program.
In the same release, Kai Cenat talked about the opportunity, stating:
“As a lifelong fan of this league, it’s a dream come true to work with the NBA and other creators to bring more content to my supporters this season than ever before.”

His appearance for the NBA forms one of the many major brand collaborations that Kai Cenat has been a part of in the past few months. Notably, he will be participating in the opening night of the 2024-2025 season of the NBA, which will be held at 7:30 pm ET, TNT, on Tuesday, October 22.
The NBA also announced that it is planning to continue with its Creator Cup Series, which is set to take place at the Emirates NBA Cup in Las Vegas, the NBA All-Star in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Furthermore, the NBA has vouched to work with over a hundred content creators to drive voter participation and to impart educational resources to the audience regarding the "importance of voting."
Kai Cenat's most recent major brand collaboration was with McDonald's. He was a part of their promotional campaign for the US launch of the Chicken Big Mac. Before that, he partnered up with Nike to release the 'Low Poly' Air Max 1, which is the first "pre-order" sneakers released as part of the sports brand's SWOOSH (dotSWOOSH) NFT-selling platform.
