"Shortest MrBeast challenge ever": Viewers react to Plauqueboymax's partner winning FaZe Clan $100K Beast Games challenge in the first round
"Jimmy" MrBeast’s $100K Beast Games challenge with FaZe Clan didn’t go as planned, as it ended after just one round. For context, the YouTuber teamed up with the organization for a live Twitch challenge on December 17, 2024. Viewers and participants had expected it to last several hours, but it ended abruptly when Plaqueboymax and his partner claimed victory much earlier than anticipated.
MrBeast has been actively promoting Beast Games, which is set to release on December 19, 2024, and the Twitch collaboration with FaZe Clan was part of this campaign. However, the stream, which included the setup and participant selection, lasted under two hours before the challenge was won in the first round.
The content creator, along with participants like Stable Ronaldo, FaZe Adapt, Silky, and even host YourRage, were all taken aback by how quickly it was over.
Viewers were equally surprised, with some even calling it the shortest challenge hosted by the YouTube star ever.
"This gotta be the shortest MrBeast challenge ever the first round is crazy," @ilysalt wrote.
Others accused Playqueboymax's partner of not knowing much about FaZe Clan.
"Bro literally barely knew a single thing about FaZe too. Max didn't even want him to win lmao," @dietwock said.
Another viewer even claimed that the winner seemed unaware of who YourRage was.
"Bro this dude didn’t even know who Rage was," @suayrez wrote.
Someone even called them a fake FaZe Clan fan:
"Lmfao a Fake FaZe Fan just won 1st round," @XsnlR6 posted.
"This random motherf**ker just won $100K": FaZe Banks reacts after Plaqueboymax's partner wins $100K MrBeast FaZe Clan challenge
As previously mentioned, with the release of Beast Games just around the corner, MrBeast has been doing everything he can to promote the show, including a collaboration with Jynxzi for the premiere on December 19, 2024. The FaZe Clan challenge was a part of this effort, and fans were excited to watch their favorite Twitch streamers participate in it.
In the challenge, six FaZe Clan members teamed up with strangers. Each team received a briefcase, with only one containing a cheque for $100K.
After each round, contestants would vote for one of the teams to open their briefcase. The challenge was supposed to continue for several rounds. However, it unexpectedly ended after the first round when Plaqueboymax’s partner opened the winning briefcase.
While some contestants congratulated the winner, most of them were surprised that the challenge had ended so quickly.
FaZe Banks hugged Plaqueboymax's partner, saying:
"This random motherf**ker just won $100K."
Meanwhile, Jasontheween confronted the participant, accusing them of not knowing the "new FaZe":
"You don't even know the new FaZe!"
MrBeast then appeared with a massive check for the winner, quieting any critics:
"Hey, hey stop. Silence the haters and hold your brand new cheque."
In a related incident, just before the challenge ended, MrBeast had to remove FaZe Banks from the set, accusing him of clip-farming and disrupting the game.
