Sodapoppin criticized Pirate Software

What does "roach out" mean in World of Warcraft? Controversy explored as Sodapoppin weighs in on Pirate Software's actions

Twitch streamer Thomas "Sodapoppin" has weighed on the recent controversy surrounding fellow Twitch streamer and OnlyFangs Hardcore WoW Classic guild member Thor "Pirate Software". To those unaware, the latter is facing backlash after he was seen running away from mobs during an encounter in the Dire Maul North dungeon.

After the encounter left two level sixty characters dead, Yamato, one of the members accompanying Pirate Software in the dungeon, asked the 37-year-old streamer to take "accountability," following which Pirate Software exited the call abruptly.

PirateSoftware's behavior is being labeled as "roaching out" online, that is, partaking in a conservative and passive playstyle that focuses on self-survival rather than taking an assertive and engaged role. Referring to Pirate Software doubling down on his original actions and deflecting criticism, Sodapoppin said:

"I don't care anymore, 'cause it's not going to change my opinion. It's just the weirdest hill I've ever seen someone die on. It really is. Weirdest hill."

Sodapoppin slams Pirate Software amid recent Pirate Software OnlyFangs controversy

Sodapoppin is a prominent figure in the OnlyFangs guild. He was the Guild Master before being replaced by Tyler1 after his character's death. Tyler1 has since been managing the server with an iron fist and kicking out inactive players, including prominent streamers Nmplol and xQc.

Now, as many content creators have come out in their criticism of Pirate Software, Sodapoppin also chimed in by condemning Pirate Software's response to the backlash:

"Everyone's telling you this hill is stupid and you're wrong, and you're just telling, no, I really like this hill. This is my hill... What a dumb f**king situation."

Fellow Twitch streamer JokerdTV expressed his discontentment with Pirate Software's reaction to the controversy while alleging that the latter's claims of having worked on World of Warcraft during his time with Blizzard Entertainment were untrue.
