The USA women's basketball team is gunning to become the first team to win eight consecutive golds at the Olympics. Team USA begins their Paris Olympics campaign on July 29 and is the prime contender to register another top-of-the-podium finish. The women's basketball event at the 2024 Summer Games kicks off on July 28.
A total of 12 countries are part of the the women's basketball event. The teams are divided into three groups of four teams each. All the games will take place at the the Pierre-Mauroy Stadium in Lille, France.
Group A comprises Serbia, Spain, China and Puerto Rico. Group B consists of Canada, Nigeria, Australia and France, while Team USA are in Group C alongside Germany, Japan and Belgium.

All the four quarterfinals will take on Aug. 7. Team USA's quarterfinal will be broadcast on NBC Network and live streamed on Peacock, NBCSports.com and Fubo. The remaining three quarterfinals will only be live streamed.
The semifinals are scheduled to take place on Aug. 9, while the gold medal and bronze medal games are slated to be played on Aug. 11.
