Angel Reese promises to serve more looks after misplaced Delta Airlines baggage finally reaches her
Angel Reese was one of the thousands affected by the problems Delta Airlines has been struggling to solve. Due to the global tech outage that also hit every airline in the United States, the Atlanta-based carrier’s operations were seriously compromised. The Chicago Sky forward’s trip to London didn’t go as expected due to the airline’s issues.
The “Chi Barbie” went to the UK to watch and cheer for Team USA square off against Germany. Reese and Team WNBA beat the Olympians in the All-Star Game before the women’s national team took on the Europeans.
Many wondered why Angel Reese didn’t have her usual glamorous pregame entrances. Even if she wasn’t playing, fans were hyped to see her enter the O2 Arena in London. The fans didn’t get what they wanted to see as Reese explained on X, formerly Twitter, that Delta misplaced her baggage.
On Tuesday, she announced that the airline finally found and returned her things. The WNBA All-Star promptly went on the same social media platform to ramp up the fans’ excitement:
“FINALLY GOT MY BAGS! LOOKS WILL NOW BE SERVED! thank you @Delta”
Before her bags were returned, Reese said on X that Delta had only given her “$100 in Euros” for shopping. The basketball star, however, made it to France despite all the hassle.
The US women’s basketball team will open the 2024 Olympics with a showdown against Japan on July 30. Hoop fans going to the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille, France, will finally see Angel Reese’s off-court game in full force.
Reese will not be playing but will have more than her fair share of the spotlight even before the game starts.
Angel Reese watched Team USA vs Germany with Kevin Durant and Steph Curry
Angel Reese met with US men’s basketball superstars Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. The three watched and cheered for the women’s team battle Germany in an exhibition game in London. Basketball fans who saw the “Chi Barbie” were likely surprised she didn’t have her usual headline-grabbing outfits.
The former LSU star might not have been able to dress as well as she wanted but she was excited to see her fellow WNBA players compete. A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart and the rest of the roster took care of business right from the start. The Americans rolled to a comfortable 84-57 win.
After the game, Angel Reese, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant met with some members of the women’s basketball team. Reese’s look likely took the Olympians by surprise. The games in France, though will be different as the Chicago Sky rookie finally got her bags.
