Angel Reese’s coach Tyler Marsh hilariously calls out wife's expensive $12 spending
After being named the coach of the Chicago Sky, former Las Vegas Aces assistant Tyler Marsh took to social media on Friday to joke about his wife's spending.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Marsh wrote:
"Only been a HC for a month & Kiara already goes straight for the $12 waters at the hotel smh"
Marsh was named the coach of the Sky back in November and agreed to a multi-year deal with the franchise after the departure of coach Teresa Weatherspoon. Despite that, no details as to the contract amount have been made public.
"Something you can build on" - Tyler Marsh praises Angel Reese's play during rookie season
After missing the WNBA playoffs for the first time since 2018, the Chicago Sky fired coach Teresa Weatherspoon in a move that shocked many fans.
The team then followed it up by hiring Tyler Marsh, an NBA champion as a player development coach with the Toronto Raptors and a two-time WNBA champion with the Las Vegas Aces.
While speaking in an interview on the "No Cap Space WBB" podcast on Dec. 9, Marsh spoke about Sky star Angel Reese's rookie season, which saw the LSU product cement her place in WNBA history with a number of stellar performances.
"I think she handled her rookie year great. I mean, you set a record in rebounding and, to me, it's still amazing that people kind of undervalue and undersell just what that was for a rookie.
"She's a winner. She's doubted almost every year of her life and her career, and she continued to overcome, and that's something you can build on."
When the Sky's 2025 season tips off, the franchise will look to hit the ground running when it plays its season opener against the Indiana Fever on May 17.
