Breanna Stewart's wife Marta Xargay reacts after emotional Liberty superstar honors her late father with playoff win over Aces

The New York Liberty secured a spot in the WNBA Finals with a commanding 76-62 victory over the Las Vegas Aces in Game 4 on Sunday. After the game, Liberty superstar Breanna Stewart dedicated the win to her wife Marta Xargay and paid a heartfelt tribute to Marta's late father.

Marta recently marked the first anniversary of her father Josep Xargay's passing on Oct. 5. Stewart dedicated the win to him and to support Marta as she coped with this challenging time of remembrance and grief.

"No matter what, it’s a really tough time," Stewart said during the post-game press conference. "And just the way the series went last year, kinda going through all of that and making sure this year is different.
"Marta and I talk about doing everything her dad would want us to do. And you know, I have receipts on the things that were said, the entire team does. My mentality today was to go in and get this win for my wife and her dad," she added.

Marta responded to Stewart's heartfelt tribute to her late father by sharing a video of her post-game address on her Instagram story.

"Love you! I know he's so proud of you," Marta wrote as the caption.
