Caitlin Clark drops one-word reaction to 6x Olympic medalist Sunisa Lee’s phenomenal Paris performance
WNBA star Caitlin Clark didn't make it to the USA women’s Olympic basketball team competing in Paris, but she has kept track of the action. The former Iowa superstar has reacted to some Instagram posts of her fellow WNBA players’ exploits in the competition.
Clark’s interest hasn’t been limited to basketball. Gymnast Sunisa Lee went on IG to share her accomplishments over the last two Olympics. Clark had a simple reaction to the post:
“Fireeee”
Lee, as she aptly captioned her photos, is a two-time Olympian and a six-time Olympic medalist. She has won two golds, one silver and three bronze medals in the past two Olympiads.
Sunisa Lee’s inspiring story is likely something Clark is aware of. The gymnast fought through two rare kidney diseases to earn a ticket to Paris after her stint in Japan. She not only appeared in her favorite events; she again finished on the podium.
Caitlin Clark could be on Team USA with Sunisa Lee at the 2028 Olympics
Los Angeles will host the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. If both can stay healthy, Caitlin Clark and Sunisa Lee could be part of the host team’s contingent that will try to win the overall crown. The games in Paris aren’t over yet, but many are already hyped up to bring the events to North America.
Lee will be a veteran if she continues to pursue her career in gymnastics. Her role on the team will extend to more than just the individual events. She will be counted on for her leadership and experience.
Clark, if she makes it, could make her debut in LA, possibly teaming up again with WNBA rival Angel Reese.
