Following in godbrother Steph Curry's footsteps, Cameron Brink endorses Kamala Harris' candidacy

Cameron Brink is joining godbrother Steph Curry in support of the current Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. The LA Sparks rookie was announced as a speaker at an online event that will include several women in the world of sports supporting Harris.

Sarah Spain of ESPN reported on Tuesday that Brink will be among multiple women in sports speaking on a Thursday's virtual event for Harris called "Hype Women for Harris." The event is scheduled for Thursday and will last from 8 a.m. through 9:30 a.m. ET.

This comes after Steph Curry showed his support to Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee to replace Joe Biden after the current President of the United States dropped out of the race against Donald Trump.

Brink is one of the rookies who brought much more attention to the WNBA alongside Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. The forward was having a terrific season until she went down with a season-ending injury in the middle of June. Brink was one of the league's top shot-blockers and a solid candidate to win the Defensive Player of the Year award.

She won't be back until the 2025 WNBA season but has found activities to remain busy while she completes rehab.

Steph Curry hasn't hesitated to back Kamala Harris ahead of November elections

Kamala Harris and Steph Curry have been linked with each other since the start of July. The Vice President paid a special visit to Team USA in Las Vegas ahead of its trip to Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games. She sent a strong message to the players, asking them to beat Canada and bring back the gold.

"Team USA, I just want to come by and say beat Canada, bring back the gold. But truly, you all represent the best of the best, and being Team USA, it is about representing our nation. You are, as you are every day on and off the court, ambassadors for who we are as a country," Harris said.

Once Harris stepped up for Joe Biden, Curry had nothing but good things to say about her:

“For her in this moment going ahead, it’s all about positive energy and optimism knowing how divided our country is right now.”

Steph Curry played a crucial role in Team USA winning the gold medal in the Olympics, and now he's getting ready for a new NBA season with the new-look Golden State Warriors.
